1. Introduction & Acceptance
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all bookings and stays at properties operated by Relegance Living Holiday Homes (“Relegance Living,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a DET-licensed holiday home operator in Downtown Dubai, UAE (DET Licence #1472593).
By making a booking with us — whether via our website, WhatsApp, email, or any third-party platform — you (“the Guest”) confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms in full.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not proceed with your booking.
2. Definitions
- “Property” — the specific holiday home unit booked by the Guest
- “Guest” — the individual making the booking and all persons occupying the Property
- “Booking” — a confirmed reservation for a specific Property and dates
- “Check-in Date” — the first day of the booked stay
- “Check-out Date” — the last day of the booked stay
- “Security Deposit” — the refundable sum held as security against damage or loss
3. Booking & Reservation
All bookings are subject to availability. A booking is only confirmed once full payment has been received and written confirmation has been issued by Relegance Living via WhatsApp or email.
The Guest making the booking must be at least 18 years of age and must be one of the occupants of the Property during the stay. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our sole discretion.
Bookings made through third-party platforms (Airbnb, Booking.com, etc.) are also subject to the relevant platform’s policies in addition to these Terms.
4. Payment Terms
Full payment of 100% of the booking amount is required at the time of booking. Your reservation is not confirmed until payment has been received in full.
All prices are quoted in UAE Dirhams (AED) and are inclusive of all applicable fees and taxes unless otherwise stated. We accept bank transfer and major credit/debit cards. Card payments are processed by a PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment gateway — we never store card details.
5. Cancellation & Refund Policy
The following cancellation policy applies to all direct bookings with Relegance Living:
- 14 or more days before check-in: Full refund of the booking amount
- 7 to 14 days before check-in: 50% refund of the booking amount
- Less than 7 days before check-in: No refund
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via WhatsApp or email to info@releganceliving.com. The cancellation date is the date on which we receive written notice. The security deposit is handled separately per Section 6. Bookings made via third-party platforms are subject to that platform’s cancellation policy.
6. Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit of AED 1,000 is required at check-in for all bookings. This may be collected via credit card pre-authorisation or direct payment as instructed by our team.
The security deposit will be returned in full within 7 days of check-out, provided the Property has been left in good condition with no damage, missing items, or additional charges incurred. Deductions may be made to cover damage, loss, excessive cleaning, or house rule violations. Where damage costs exceed the deposit, the Guest will be invoiced for the outstanding balance.
7. Check-in & Check-out
- Standard check-in: 3:00 PM on the Check-in Date
- Standard check-out: 11:00 AM on the Check-out Date
- Early check-in (subject to availability): AED 200 flat fee — must be requested at least 24 hours in advance
- Late check-out (subject to availability): AED 80 per hour — must be requested at least 24 hours in advance
Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and are not guaranteed. Failure to check out by the agreed time without prior arrangement may result in a late checkout fee being charged automatically.
Guests must provide valid government-issued photo ID (passport or Emirates ID) for all occupants at check-in, as required by UAE DET regulations.
8. House Rules & Guest Conduct
All Guests and their visitors must observe the following rules at all times during the stay:
- No parties, events, or gatherings of any kind are permitted on the premises
- Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the Property at all times
- No pets are allowed in or around the Property
- Only registered Guests may occupy the Property; unregistered additional guests are not permitted without prior written consent
- No commercial photography, videography, or filming is permitted on the premises without prior written consent from Relegance Living
- Guests must not cause nuisance, excessive noise, or disturbance to neighbours or other residents at any time
Breach of any house rule is considered a material breach of these Terms. Relegance Living reserves the right to terminate the stay immediately without refund in the event of a serious or repeated violation. Additional charges may apply.
9. Maximum Occupancy
Each Property has a stated maximum occupancy as communicated at the time of booking. Exceeding this number without prior written consent constitutes a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate termination of the booking without refund, as well as additional charges.
10. Damage & Guest Liability
All damage, breakages, or loss of items will be assessed at or after check-out. Guests are fully liable for the cost of repairing or replacing any item damaged or lost during their stay, whether caused by themselves or their visitors.
Costs will first be deducted from the security deposit. Where damage costs exceed the deposit, the Guest will be invoiced for the remaining balance, payable within 7 days of receipt. Normal wear and tear is not considered damage and will not be charged.
11. Limitation of Our Liability
Relegance Living shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from a Guest’s stay, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable UAE law. We are not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings. Guests are advised to ensure they have appropriate travel or personal property insurance.
12. DET Compliance & Guest Registration
As a licensed holiday home operator under the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET Licence #1472593), we are legally required to register all Guests in accordance with DET regulations. All Guests must provide valid passport or Emirates ID details at check-in. Failure to provide valid ID may result in refusal of check-in.
13. Privacy & Data
Personal data collected during the booking process is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By making a booking, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described therein.
14. Force Majeure
Relegance Living shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in fulfilling its obligations caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or civil unrest. In such circumstances we will endeavour to offer an alternative date or a fair resolution.
15. Amendments
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The most current version will always be published on our website. Bookings confirmed prior to any amendment remain subject to the Terms in effect at the time of confirmation.
16. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dubai courts.
